Ames Direct manufactures and stocks Polyurethane Rod here in Australia. The Polyurethane Rods can be used in many industrial and automotive applications where dampening, noise reduction, vibration reduction is required in bushes, engine mounts, bump stops, rollers and many more applications. The Rods can be easily machined to size and are great to have in your machine shop.
We use a high grade 90a Shore Red Polyurethane which is resistant to many chemicals, solvents, moisture and oils. They can also resist abrasion, impact, shock, and cut and tears. Other colours and hardness’s are available on request on request and may incur a small surcharge.
Cast in 1000mm in lengths, they are available in thicknesses ranging from 10mm to 90mm+. Other sizes are available on request on request and may incur a small surcharge.
Please note that due to the nature of Polyurethane processing there will be shrinkage therefore sizes are ‘nominal’ only.
